Robots and combined machines for ski workshops

Robots chain several tuning operations with no manual handling in between. The Chatex catalogue offers the modular SF-4 Race, the Slope Master family and the Profi 4 combined machine.

SF-4 Race and Slope Master

The SF-4 Race is modular, from 1 to 4 modules, rated at 50 to 70 skis per hour and 1,500 to 40,000 skis or snowboards per season. The Slope Master is presented as a compact grinding robot: the S Race grinds the base, the SK Race adds the DTS-U II Race edge sharpener to process bases and edges. Its dimensions are 3,575 x 1,120 x 1,500 mm for the S version.

Combined machine or robot?

The Profi 4 Racing is a combined belt and stone grinder. A robot also automates loading and the sequence of operations (loading of 4 or 6 pairs for the SF-4 Race). To compare the grinders, see belt or stone grinder. For the impact on workshop organisation, see equipping a ski workshop.

Robots need 400 V and compressed air: see the NUAIR compressors. They are distributed by Chatex as the exclusive Reichmann distributor.
