Waxing machines: ski and snowboard waxing in the workshop

A waxing machine applies ski wax more evenly and faster than an iron. The Chatex catalogue brings together roller, bath, infrared and liquid wax machines, from the benchtop unit to the cabinet on wheels.

The waxing principles in the range

Choosing your waxing machine

First look at the power supply (the BWM 350 C Digital runs on single-phase 230 V, the Glide Master without electricity), then the footprint and the volume processed: the BWM 350 C Digital sheet states that one roller waxes more than 5,000 pairs of skis.

The ski wax itself matters as much as the machine. See the Holmenkol ski wax and our guide to ski waxing in the workshop, as well as the waxing tools.

Frequently asked questions

Waxing machine or waxing iron?

The iron remains the tool for manual waxing. The BWM 350 C Digital sheet states a clearly lower wax consumption than manual waxing with an iron, thanks to roller application.

Do you need to brush after the waxing machine?

It depends on the system. The Glide Master is presented with no heating or brushing, while the BWM 350 C Digital and the R40 ACEWAX are fitted with a nylon brush.
