Loctite 270 is a high-strength threadlocker offering maximum effectiveness in locking nuts, bolts and studs to prevent loosening caused by shocks and vibrations. It is effective on all metals without the use of a surface activator or primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and coated surfaces. Curing remains possible with a light film of anti-corrosion oil or cutting fluid, with no need for cleaning before application. The lock is permanent, but disassembly remains possible: simply heat the parts to 300 °C and disassemble while they are still hot.
